Gummy Bears
Something to know about recipes for gummy candy and gummy bears are no different is it’s all about your ratio of liquid to solid.
In this case the solid being Jell-o powder and the liquid being water.
Less liquid and more solid leads to a thicker solution and a firmer gummy. More liquid and less solid leads to a looser solution and a softer gummy.
So just play around with the ratios to see what works for you.

Sour Patch Kids
If you have had a sour patch kid as opposed to gummy bear they have a little bit of a different texture.
So that is where pectin comes in.
I used a mixture of pectin and geliton to make these sour patch kids and then a mixture of sugar and citric acid for the coating.

Viral Pop It Candy
This was a simple and kind of light hearted gummy candy that was derived from the viral Tik Tok Recipe that just simply took a Pop-It fidget toy and filled it with M&M’s and melted chocolate. That then was left to set and basically made a chocolate bar.
I decided to make this recipe as a gummy with Skittles in place of M&M’s. So, I just loaded the skittles into the Pop-It toy then filled it with the gummy solution and then let it set.
Kind of silly and I actually had someone on my YouTube channel just comment “why?”. To which I responded “why not”
Valid point. Tik Tok recipes are silly and light hearted sometimes but a lot of times you need that. This world is a lot sometimes and sometimes you just need to fill a fidget toy with gummy solution. Amiright?
