One of the simplest recipes that every baker should learn in my opinion is how to make banana bread.

How To Make Banana Bread – Preparing The Pan

I baked this bread in a loaf pan like in my zucchini bread recipe but you can always do this in a muffin tin and have banana muffins or better yet in my opinion, banana nut muffins. To prepare your loaf pan just take a stick of butter and coat the inside of each pan.  Then place about a tablespoon of flour in the pan.  Then you are going to slowly turn the pan so that the flour evenly coats the pan.  You know that puzzle where you have the marble and you have to manipulate the puzzle to get the marble to go through the maze? It’s a lot like that.

How To Make Banana Bread – Toppings

I used walnuts in my banana bread but you can use any type of nut as well as any type of dried fruit or even I have seen people use chocolate chips to make a chocolate chip banana bread recipe.  Whatever you decide to use, you just should add about a tsp of flour to it and toss them around to coat.  This way, your additions won’t sink all to the bottom.  Nothing worse than a banana bread with all the walnuts or whatever all on the bottom.
